Travel to Doha and Dubai 2026

Our trip started in the Q-Suites on Qatar Airways for or 14-hour flight to DOHA.  We even got our own pajamas!  A wonderful way to start our journey. 



DOHA is amazing and the airport unbelievable. Just a few pics to show...


We arrived at 5:30 pm, got through immigration, collected our luggage (only 4 bags this trip, not the 16 for the world cruise!).  Then a 20-minute drive to our hotel - the city at night is certainly a sight worth seeing...

We were at the St Regis, and we're blown away by the hotel and service was amazing!  The bar is set high for the rest of our trip.  We had a butler who took us on a tour of the hotel and walked us through the Ramadan tents that they are famous for. And Okesh, our butler, had a surprise waiting for us in our room.  Sorry we are only here for one night.



 
And we came back to our room with roses, balloons, and chocolate!


Off to the airport to Qatar Airways, we were booked in first class and got surprising service! Dropped at the airport gate, we were greeted by a baggage valet, who brought us and our luggage to the lounge, where we were seated and checked in - no lines!  AMAZING, then to Al Safra, their world class lounge where we relaxed, had some wine and a fabulous lunch, and then headed to our gate for our quick flight to Dubai.  Tomorrow, we start our Persian Gulf cruise.


On to Dubai and our cruise! Or so we thought.
